Matthew Phillip Long is a literary fiction writer whose work blends poetic prose with meditations on grief, identity, and the enduring shadows of national history. He explores how personal loss becomes entangled with collective memory, and how landscapes marked by empire shape inherited narratives of displacement and belonging. His writing has been featured in Neos Kosmos, the Cyprus Mail and Parikiaki.

Matthew currently lives in Nicosia, Cyprus. Life Goes On Without You and Me, his debut novella, was published on 26th June 2026 by Armida Books.
